Country Hearth & Comfort was founded in 2004 by John and Elaine Andrew, who originally opened the store on their family farm just six miles north of Springside, Saskatchewan. From these humble beginnings, the business quickly earned a reputation for quality craftsmanship and personalized service.
In the fall of 2007, the store moved to Yorkton, where it shared a location with their son Matthew and his business, Sideline Service & Trailer Sales. During this time, Matthew became actively involved in sales and installations, working closely alongside John.
By 2016, Matthew expanded the operation by purchasing a building just west of the original location. In 2019, he took over estimating and installation responsibilities, with John continuing to lend a hand onsite.
In 2021, Matthew and his wife Michelle officially purchased Country Hearth & Comfort from John and Elaine. John remained involved for a time before stepping into a well-earned retirement.
Today, the business proudly continues as a family-owned and operated venture—rooted in tradition, fueled by passion, and committed to serving homes across Yorkton and beyond.
